1 Who we are
These terms are between you and RJS & Partners LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under number OC455066 whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, trading as Wardcote (Wardcote, we, us). You can contact us at partners@rjsandpartners.co.uk.
2 The free template library
The free template library lets you keep the public templates published on dulldocs.com in one place, see what changed in each new version, and receive an email when a template you keep is updated. It is free of charge. It is open to individuals and to settings, and you do not need to set up an organisation to use it.
3 Templates are guidance, not advice
Templates are general guidance. They are not legal or professional advice, and they are not tailored to your setting or your circumstances. Check them against the current statutory guidance on GOV.UK and against your own setting before you rely on them.
We update templates when the law or official guidance changes, to correct mistakes, and to improve them. An update notice tells you that a template has changed. It does not mean your own copies or records are up to date.
We may withdraw a template, or the free library, for one of these reasons: the law or official guidance has changed so that it no longer fits, for security, or because we are changing or stopping the free service. Before we withdraw a template you keep, or the library, we will give you reasonable notice by email, normally at least 30 days, so that you can download copies. If we have to act sooner for a legal or security reason, we will tell you as soon as we can.
4 Using the library
- Use the library and the templates lawfully, and do not misuse them or the service.
- Do not scrape, copy in bulk or access the library by automated means.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Do not share sign-in links or codes with anyone else.
- Do not try to get into another person's account or test the service's security without our written agreement.
5 Closing your account
You can close your free account at any time by contacting us, and you can remove any template from your library yourself. If an account that has only a template library has not been used for 24 months, we will email you to say that it will close, and close it 30 days later unless you sign in. Signing in keeps it open.
6 Our responsibility for loss
If we break these terms or are negligent, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you started using the library. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
Templates are general guidance. We are not responsible for loss caused by a decision you make using a template without checking it against the current official guidance and your own setting, as section 3 asks.
If you use the library for a business, venue or other setting, we are not liable to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
7 Using Wardcote for a setting
If you set up Wardcote for a setting, that organisation's use of Wardcote is under the Wardcote Terms of Service and Customer Data Processing Agreement, which the person setting it up accepts for the organisation. These free library terms continue to cover your own template library.
8 Your information
Our Privacy Notice explains what we keep about you and why, including the record of your agreement to these terms.
9 Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law or official guidance, for security, or to reflect changes to the free library, including improving it or stopping it. We publish every version at a permanent link.
If a change could disadvantage you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless we have to make it sooner for a legal or security reason, in which case we will tell you as soon as we can. If you do not want to accept a change, you can download copies of your templates and close your account at any time before it takes effect, at no cost.
10 Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
